Project Architecture
At the first stage, a domain monolith (DDD) was chosen for MVP,
microservices were used to implement a full-fledged project. This gives a great advantage when scaling a project, since each part of the project works autonomously and allows working on them in parallel. It also distributes the service load as the number of users increases.
Implementation
A unique and sophisticated development including integration with state data bases, insurance companies, specialized public service centers and data standardization for any type of insurance. Microservices have been used and are expected to be implemented further for each individual integration, for example, with Unified Insurance Database, State Database, payment gateways Kaspi, Halyk, FreedomPay, Freedom SuperApp), etc.
After being qualified for compliance with the unified requirements in the information security, which is needed to work with data, the developers started performing their tasks. It was required to decide how the broker would technically draw up the policies of binding civil liability for vehicle owners. For registration, thousands of small but important details were required: data for a broker, data for the insurance company and data to be entered into the unified insurance database.
Integration with state databases made it possible to collect all the data together. Some of them are used in premium calculations, and the system we developed is able to make an accurate calculation for each insurance company. The project was complex because of the huge amounts of data and non-standard operations. We managed to develop policies and processes for all non-standard situations, which made it possible to collect all data for issuing insurance policies even in extraordinary cases.
Our implementation is unique because of the data standardization design. We have developed a common standard that can be adjusted to any insurance type.
Result
We developed this sophisticated project in two months. In June 2024, we tested it in Astana showing the viability and technical sustainability of our solution to the management of specialized public service centers.
From June to December, we improved processes and invited partner insurance companies for participation. Freedom Insurance was the first one among others. At the early 2025, TUMAR insurance broker entered into a 5-year agreement Government for Citizens State Corporation. Now the product developed and implemented by the SlonWorks team which represents the binding civil liability insurance for vehicle owners is successfully operating in more than 30 specialized public service centers throughout Kazakhstan.
Technical support of outstaff team
For 6 months of service implementation, the customer and special PSC operators used the technical support of our outstaff team. For operators, we have set support procedures in the form of typical questions. Users received answers to them without our participation. Non-standard questions were promptly serviced directly by our technical support department.
